CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions has established local, independent councils on aging in each of the eight counties it serves. Each council is comprised of dedicated volunteers who help define the problems and needs of older Hoosiers in their county and identify solutions.

Membership:

Membership is free and open to anyone or any organization that has a sincere interest in the welfare and well-being of older adults in Johnson County.

JOIN and–

  • share your opinions and concerns
  • learn about issues that affect you, your friends or loved ones
  • experience activities and events that enrich the lives of others

Meetings:

General membership meetings are held quarterly, the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at these locations:

  • The Social of Greenwood, 550 Polk Ave., Greenwood, June 19 and December 18, 2014
  • The Franklin Active Adult Center, 160 E. Adams St., Franklin, March 20 and September 18, 2014

These meetings are open to anyone over age 60 in Johnson County, or anyone of any age who would like to be an active member of the council.

The Board of Directors and Committee Chairs of the council meet monthly at the Social of Greenwood on the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone wishing to become an active participant in enhancing the lives of Johnson County seniors are welcome to attend.
