A Message from CICOA President & CEO Tauhric Brown
FY2023 was a year characterized by remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication to address the gaps between our vision for tomorrow and today’s realities. Alignment around that vision has been a driving force across the organization in all our endeavors. As we look to the future, alignment will remain a guiding principle as we strive to deliver the highest quality of care and support to the people of central Indiana.

Health Equity for Individuals with Disabilities and the Aging Community
Sept. 22, 2022
Featuring Dr. Jerome Adams
Executive Director of Health Equity Initiatives, Purdue University
and Dr. Jasmine D. Gonzalvo
Director, Center for Health Equity and Innovation, Purdue University
In this Envision lecture, Dr. Jerome Adams and Dr. Jasmine Gonzalvo discuss health equity in individuals with disabilities and the aging community and review health disparities data and literature to support evidence-based initiatives, such as Community Health Workers (CHWs), that help mitigate existing health disparities. The CICOA team discuss recent initiatives and relevant data related to health equity in service delivery.
Learn more about Community Health Workers at CICOA
Community Health Workers (CHWs) come from the communities where they serve and help fill the gaps in health and social care for individuals. CICOA added CHWs to Flourish Care Management last year after receiving a grant from the Center for Health Equity and Innovation, Purdue University, for training and education. In their role, they work one-on-one to help high-risk individuals to succeed at home.
