United Home Health Care Is Presenting Sponsor of CICOA’s Annual Safe at Home Day

The first year that United Home Health Care participated in CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions’ Safe at Home Day, five employees volunteered to help Central Indiana seniors make home-safety modifications that reduce the risk of injury.

This year, the family-owned Indianapolis home health agency is presenting sponsor of the event for the second time, and 45 staffers will join the volunteer corps on Sept. 24 to kick off Fall Prevention Awareness Week.

Unfortunately, for many seniors and people with disabilities in Marion County, lack of transportation options is a major barrier to their independence: a barrier to employment, education, civic engagement, access to food and healthcare.  A great community can do better, and that is why CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions supports Transit Drives Indy and the ballot initiative to expand funding for public transit.
