Sloan Shockley, Senior and Mobile Pantry Programs Manager, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana

“Seniors Managing Food Insecurity”

Sloan Shockley began her career at Gleaners Food Bank in 1998. After 13 years working on the non-profit’s fundraising and events, she moved over to Programs. Currently, Sloan manages the Mobile Pantry Program, delivering food to those in need in over 18 counties throughout Central and Southeastern Indiana. In addition, she operates the Senior Hunger Initiative that provides food to seniors age 55 and over through senior mobiles, food pantries and pantry shopping days.

Sharon Pierce, President and CEO, The Villages

Sharon Pierce has served as The Villages’ President and CEO for 15 years. Before joining the organization, Sharon was the Deputy Director for the Indiana Division of Family and Children, overseeing Indiana’s state child welfare system. She is a member of numerous boards and service organizations promoting the best interests of children. Sharon has worked with the Indiana General Assembly on numerous legislative initiatives which impact children and families.
