Holiday Baskets

Bring holiday cheer to CICOA clients this December by volunteering to assemble and deliver holiday gift baskets!

The CICOA Foundation Holiday Baskets program helps us connect with clients in need by delivering a little extra warmth and nourishment during the holiday season. In partnership with Citizens Energy Group and our local grocery store, staff and volunteers come together to pack large red totes, our “holiday baskets,” with a variety of food items that can be used to prepare a special holiday meal or simply help feed a family during a time that can be especially challenging.

These baskets are more than just food – they’re a symbol of care, community, and compassion. With the help of our dedicated staff, we hand-deliver each one to ensure our clients feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Together, we’re making the season brighter, one basket at a time.

Volunteer Roles:

• Basket Packing – Help sort items and pack baskets, stack and wrap baskets for distribution.
• Basket Pickup Drive Thru – Set up drive thru area, greet staff in cars as they arrive, check off client name from list, deliver basket to vehicle, help with clean up.
• Deliver Baskets – CICOA STAFF ONLY - Deliver baskets to clients' homes at a pre-arranged time, may need to help carry basket inside home.
• Ride Along – Board Members or volunteers can ride along with CICOA staff as they deliver the baskets to clients' homes.
• Pre-Event Help - Assist as needed, possibly with writing cards, packing items, organizing, etc.
