CICOA advocates for seniors, persons with disabilities and family caregivers by addressing issues that impact our population’s quality of life, with an emphasis on social determinants of health, housing, nutrition, transportation, accessibility and long-term care services.
CICOA educates public officials at the Indiana State House and, as members of USAging, in Congress. Our advocacy activities include reviewing and taking positions on local, state and federal policies. We testify before legislative bodies, engage in letter writing and public speaking, and make media appearances in support of funding, legislation, regulations and policies.
