Person-Centered Thinking
CICOA's Person-Centered Thinking (PCT) training empowers your team to provide truly individualized and compassionate care. Our certified trainers deliver engaging workshops that instill the core principles of PCT, ensuring your staff is equipped to meet the unique needs of every client. With PCT, you'll unlock the potential for improved outcomes, increased client satisfaction and a more fulfilling work environment.
Developed by The Learning Community for Person Centered Practices, the curriculum serves as a foundation and philosophical framework for supporting people at risk of losing their independence.
This interactive training provides core skills in Person-Centered Thinking, as required by the state of Indiana for all certified care managers and/or options counselors supporting older adults and persons with disabilities. You must attend all sessions to complete the training. CICOA's Person-Centered Thinking workshops are taught by certified trainers.
At the end of the training, you will be able to develop an Individual Support Plan (ISP) that is person-centered and addresses client preferences, dreams and goals, medical history/current medical concerns, and communication preferences.
We offer flexible options to accommodate your schedule. This training is typically presented in-person, but a virtual option is available.
In-person Training Agenda:
- Registration and networking (8:30-9:00 am)
- Presentation of modules by certified PCT Trainers
- Intermittent breaks
- Lunch is on your own
- Concludes at 5:00 pm
Virtual Training Agenda:
- Six half-day sessions
Person-Centered Thinking Training Cost:
$150 per person
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received in writing no less than 5 days before the course will be refunded. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to tdonelson@cicoa.org. CICOA reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program as necessary. In the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded.
