My Freedom

My Freedom increases transportation options for adults age 60 and older, as well as individuals of any age with disabilities, throughout Central Indiana. Fares are redeemable for both medical and nonmedical transportation, including trips across county lines.

Eligible riders can use My Freedom for work, medical appointments, grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, places of worship, social outings, and many other everyday trips. Service is available across Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby counties, helping riders stay connected, independent, and engaged in their communities each day.

Thanks to funding from CICOA, CIRTA, and the Federal Transit Administration, participants pay just 25% of each trip’s total cost. Transportation is provided by Ztrip 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with standard vehicles and wheelchair-accessible minivans. Escorts or personal care assistants may ride at no additional cost, making trips safer, easier, and more accessible.

"CICOA’s My Freedom service allows us to go whenever and wherever we need, for appointments, errands, or to spend some time out together on a date with just the two of us and our Leader Dog. That independence and freedom is such a blessing!”

The Bowmans are able to remain active in the community, thanks to CICOA’s Way2Go service.
