Medicaid Transportation

Medicaid members can request transportation through Verida, with CICOA Way2Go as your preferred transportation provider.

How Medicaid Transportation Works

Medicaid members who need a ride to a doctor’s appointment, pharmacy, or other medical office can request transportation through Verida (formerly known as Southeastrans). CICOA Way2Go Transportation can be listed as your preferred Medicaid transportation provider.

Verida (formerly Southeastrans) can schedule rides to any non-emergency medical services that are covered by Medicaid. This includes trips to the dentist, doctor, dialysis and others. Medicaid will pay for 20 one-way trips per rolling 12-month period. More trips may be provided if your doctor requests them, and they are approved through Verida.

After you call Verida (formerly Southeastrans), they will check availability with transportation providers in your area. If CICOA Way2Go Transportation has availability, we will accept your trip and call to confirm at least 48 hours before your scheduled trip.

How to Get Started

Verida Trip Reservation Line 1-855-325-7586

(Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)

To schedule a trip, call Verida (formerly Southeastrans) at 1-855-325-7586. You may call up to 30 days in advance, but you need to call at least two business days before your appointment. You can tell the representative that CICOA Way2Go Transportation is your preferred provider, and they will try to schedule your ride with us, pending availability.

You also can schedule a Medicaid-covered ride online. (Please note: First-time riders must call to schedule the first ride. Then, you can enroll in the Verida Member Portal, where you can schedule trips, see scheduled trips, or cancel trips.)
