CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions Board of Directors has appointed Lisa Schneekloth as Interim Chief Executive Officer.

“We are very fortunate to have someone of Lisa’s quality and ability to rely on as we prepare for the next step, building on CICOA’s 50-year history serving Central Indiana seniors and people with disabilities,” said Board Chair Kathy Frank. “Lisa brings extensive experience in social work and nonprofit leadership, and the Board has full confidence in her ability to lead the organization and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality services.”

Lisa has held the role of the organization’s first Chief Compliance Officer since 2021. She joined CICOA in 2008 as a care manager and eventually earned a role in leadership as director of Meals & More. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from IUPUI and a master’s degree in public administration nonprofit leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is certified in healthcare compliance and healthcare privacy compliance.

Lisa grew up in a single-parent home in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis. Her family received subsidies for rent and meals, experiencing first-hand what many of CICOA’s clients go through. That early experience inspired her interest in helping others.

“Working with CICOA, I’ve felt empowered to help people meet their basic needs. I have mentored staff, and now at the C-Suite level, have the opportunity to assure we function at the highest level of compliance and quality while providing exceptional experiences for our consumers,” she said.

Erica has been at CICOA since 2008 when she began as a care manager and worked her way up to Vice President of In-Home Services. She played an essential leadership role in the transition to Indiana PathWays for Aging and is the co-founder of Postbook, an award-winning Wrinkle innovation company. She earned her undergraduate degree at Ball State University and her master’s at IUPUI.

“Erica has consistently demonstrated the qualities required for the COO role throughout her tenure at CICOA,” said Lisa Schneekloth. “Her experience, leadership skills, and deep understanding of our organization make her the ideal candidate for this role. Erica will work closely with other leaders to ensure that our organizational structure supports our strategic goals.”

The Board of Directors is actively working on next steps for establishing a permanent CEO in the coming months.
