INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Central Indiana Senior Fund, a CICF fund, to support CICOA’s Meals & More Services, which provide nutritious meals and wellness support to older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Central Indiana.

The grant will help CICOA address the growing need for home-delivered meals and related nutrition services that enable vulnerable residents to remain healthy, independent, and connected to their communities. Meals & More not only provides nourishment but also serves as an important point of contact for individuals who may be at risk of isolation, declining health, or food insecurity.

“Access to nutritious food is fundamental to healthy aging,” said Lisa Schneekloth, President & CEO of CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions. “We are deeply grateful to the Central Indiana Senior Fund Advisors for their investment in our community. Their support helps ensure that older adults can continue living safely and independently at home while receiving the nutrition and support they need to thrive.”

As Indiana’s largest provider of home-delivered meals for older adults, CICOA serves thousands of individuals each year through Meals & More. For many participants, meal delivery provides both essential nutrition and regular wellness checks that help identify emerging needs before they become crises.

The grant reflects the shared commitment of CICOA and the Central Indiana Senior Fund, a CICF fund, to improving quality of life for low-to-moderate-income older adults, particularly those who are underserved, isolated, or facing barriers to maintaining their independence.

“The demand for services that help older adults age in place continues to increase,” Schneekloth added. “This funding strengthens our ability to respond to that need and support individuals with dignity, compassion, and practical assistance.”
