Central Indiana Senior Fund grant supports services for older adults

CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions has received a grant of $42,000 from the Central Indiana Senior Fund, a CICF Fund. This grant supports CICOA’s general operating needs in its role as a key provider of services for older adults.

The investment from the Central Indiana Senior Fund, a CICF Fund, will be used by CICOA to keep seniors living safely and independently in place, provide access to healthy food and nutrition supports, and provide access to transportation services. CICOA meets these basic needs for clients through the Meals & More program, Way2Go Transportation service and the Home Safety & Accessibility program.

“The Senior Fund grant provides much-needed support for CICOA clients,” said Tauhric Brown, President and CEO of CICOA. “Our partnership with the Central Indiana Senior Fund allows us to make sure that the elderly in our community have the basics of life and live the last chapters of their lives with a sense of dignity and worth.”

Funding enables CICOA to remain a healthy organization as we address social determinants of health that affect clients. CICOA’s wrap-around services have a significant impact on the health of aging adults, especially those facing barriers to better health and circumstances that make them vulnerable to poor health.
