CICOA Recognized as a COVID Stops Here Workplace

Written by

CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions has been recognized as a Silver COVID Stops Here workplace for achieving an 88 percent staff vaccination rate.

The COVID Stops Here campaign recognizes Indiana workplaces that have achieved widespread vaccination against COVID-19. Organizations that have achieved at least a 70 percent vaccination rate are eligible to receive a designation.

“I appreciate the herculean effort our staff has made since the beginning of this public health emergency to work together to protect the health and well-being of our vulnerable clients, employees and partners,” said CICOA President and CEO Tauhric Brown. “Even though we have not made a company mandate about vaccines, 88 percent of our staff has voluntarily received the vaccine, and I expect we could reach 90 percent very soon.”

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Wellness Council of Indiana are promoting the COVID Stops Here campaign as a way to celebrate workplaces that are leading the fight to stop COVID-19 — and to encourage more organizations to join their ranks.

“It’s become clear that the COVID-19 vaccine is Indiana’s best pathway to recovery,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “Employers have an essential role to play and we’re pleased to recognize those organizations making it a priority for the betterment of all.”
