CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions President & CEO Tauhric Brown was invited to the White House for the distinguished event, “Communities in Action: Building a Better Indiana and Illinois” on Feb. 1. The event brought together local elected officials and community leaders dedicated to fostering opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their respective communities.
Tauhric, alongside Connie Benton Wolfe, President & CEO of Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana, represented Indiana area agencies on aging at this significant gathering. The focus of the meeting was to discuss and showcase the impactful initiatives underway in the Hoosier state, thanks to federal support. Tauhric highlighted initiatives that prioritize the well-being of older adults, individuals with disabilities and family caregivers.
During his visit to D.C., Tauhric met with Congressman André Carson, shedding light on the groundbreaking work occurring within our local communities and challenges faced by community-based organizations.
CICOA is dedicated to transforming Indiana into a state where older adults and individuals of all ages with disabilities flourish. Our commitment to this cause was showcased at the Communities in Action meeting in the nation’s capital, where we shared our progress and learned from other leaders in the field.

Tauhric Brown
Tauhric Brown served as CICOA’s President and CEO from 2020-2024. His experience in the elderly and disability service industry helped to expand CICOA services and collaborative partnerships during his tenure. Before joining CICOA, Brown served as the chief operating officer for Senior Services, Inc. in Kalamazoo, Mich. His career started in the U.S. Army, and then he became a successful owner/operator for a multi-carrier wireless retail company. Inspired by his family and upbringing, he made the switch to the nonprofit world to fulfill his dream of improving the lives of others.
