CICOA Receives $10,000 Grant from Glick Philanthropies

CICOA Among 106 Organizations Selected for $830,000 Community Relief Fund

CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions received a $10,000 grant from the Glick Community Relief Fund, a grant program of Glick Philanthropies, to help local nonprofit organizations continue responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding will support CICOA’s Way2Go transportation service, providing reliable, affordable transportation to help clients maintain their health and independence while aging in place in their homes. CICOA supports residents and neighbors of several apartment communities managed by the Gene B. Glick Company.

The grant to CICOA was one of 106 grants totaling $830,000 to organizations supporting communities where Glick properties are located during this time of heightened demand.

The Glick Community Relief Fund was created in 2020 to help organizations grow their capacity to meet the surge in demand for services brought by COVID-19. The grant program continued in 2021 to increase access to basic need services for Glick residents and the broader community.

CICOA was nominated for the grant by service coordinators at Carriage House Glendale and Gardens of Greenbriar, apartment communities managed by the Gene B. Glick Company, for the Glick Community Relief Fund.

Through the Glick Community Relief Fund, we’re proud to do our part by helping over 100 organizations make a difference in the lives of individuals and families that have been affected by the pandemic.”
